Xavier is part of our wider Adelaide community, and his story is particularly close to the Artmetal Coatings team.

We’re asking our customers, friends and local community to help us get behind Xavier by supporting his official Rare Cancers Australia fundraising campaign.

XAVIER’S STORY

Xavier’s Journey

Xavier was just three years old when he was diagnosed with Stage IV high-risk neuroblastoma in March 2021.

His symptoms appeared suddenly, beginning with severe abdominal pain and vomiting. After several hospital visits, doctors discovered a solid tumour on his right adrenal gland. It was the moment his family’s life changed forever.

Xavier endured 18 months of intensive treatment in Australia, including chemotherapy, surgery, high-dose chemotherapy with a stem cell transplant, radiation and immunotherapy. Despite becoming very unwell throughout treatment, his family worked hard to give him as much normality as possible.

In September 2022, Xavier completed frontline treatment and received the news everyone had been hoping for: there was no evidence of disease.

Sadly, the fight was not over. Since completing treatment, Xavier and his family have faced three relapses. Each time, he has returned to chemotherapy and other intensive treatments, while travelling between Australia and the United States to access specialist care.

For children in Xavier’s position, there are currently no curative treatment options available in Australia. Accessing clinical trials involves enormous barriers, government funding does not extend to overseas trials, and many emerging treatments are only available internationally. To give Xavier access to the most advanced therapies available, his family must take him to them.

Today, Xavier’s care spans two countries—and so does his family’s fight.

In mid-August, Xavier’s condition was steady, and his family remained hopeful that he was approaching the end of another stage of treatment. However, his journey is not over. Xavier is now back in America receiving further specialist treatment, and his fight continues.

Throughout it all, Xavier’s family continues to balance treatment, international travel, school, work and everyday family life. Their hope remains unwavering: to give Xavier every possible chance at a long, healthy future.

2. Take a Screenshot

Once you have made your donation, take a screenshot or save the confirmation showing that your donation was successful.

You’re welcome to cover any personal or financial information before sending it to us. We simply need enough information to verify that the donation was made during the promotion period.

3. Send It to Artmetal Coatings

Send your donation confirmation to Artmetal Coatings through either our Facebook or Instagram direct messages.

Once your donation has been verified, you’ll receive one entry into the draw.

Terms and Conditions

  1. Promoter

The promoter is Art Metal Coatings, located in Holden Hill, South Australia (“Art Metal Coatings” or “the Promoter”).

This giveaway is being conducted to support fundraising for Xavier Perovkin, who is battling neuroblastoma, through his Rare Cancers Australia fundraising page.

  1. Promotion Period

The giveaway opens at 09:00 am ACDT on Monday, 21 September 2026 and closes at 5:00 pm ACDT on Friday, 23 October 2026 (“Promotion Period”).

Entries received after the closing time will not be accepted.

  1. Eligibility

Entry is open only to residents of South Australia who are aged 18 years or over.

Entrants must be residing in South Australia at the time they enter and when the prizes are drawn.

The following people are not eligible to enter:

  • Current employees of Art Metal Coatings;
  • Immediate family members of current employees;
  • Contractors, agents or other persons directly involved in administering or promoting the giveaway; and
  • Any person who does not satisfy these Terms and Conditions.

For these Terms and Conditions, “immediate family” includes a spouse, de facto partner, parent, child, sibling, grandparent or grandchild.

  1. How to Enter

To receive an entry, an eligible person must, during the Promotion Period:

  1. Make a donation of any amount to the official Xavier Pudovkin fundraising page operated through Rare Cancers Australia;
  2. Take a screenshot or obtain confirmation showing that the donation was successfully made; and
  3. Send the screenshot to Art Metal Coatings by direct message through its official Facebook or Instagram page before the giveaway closes.

Entrants may remove or cover any personal or financial information contained in the screenshot. However, the screenshot must contain enough information for Art Metal Coatings to reasonably verify that a donation was made during the Promotion Period.

The amount donated will not affect an entrant’s chance of winning. Donations of all amounts will be treated equally.

A maximum of one entry per person is permitted. Making multiple donations or submitting the same donation more than once will not provide additional entries.

Each person who submits a valid entry will be allocated one unique entry number.

  1. Allocation of Entry Numbers

After entries close, Art Metal Coatings will prepare a final list of all valid entrants.

Each valid entrant will be allocated one sequential number, beginning with number 1 and continuing up to the total number of valid entrants.

For example, if 150 valid entries are received, entrants will be allocated numbers from 1 to 150.

Each eligible person will receive only one number and therefore only one chance in the draw.

Art Metal Coatings will keep a record showing the entrant associated with each allocated number. This information will be used only to administer the giveaway and identify the winners.

  1. Live Random Draw

The winners will be drawn live on the official Art Metal Coatings Facebook page at approximately 12:00 pm ACDT on Friday, 23 October 2026.

The final number of valid entries will be entered as the available number range in a random-number-generator application.

The random-number generator will then be used live to randomly select:

  1. The First Prize winner; and
  2. The Runner-Up Prize winner.

The First Prize will be drawn first. The winning First Prize number will then be excluded before the Runner-Up Prize number is generated.

One person cannot win both prizes.

If the random-number generator produces a number that has already won, or the selected entry is subsequently found to be invalid or ineligible, another random number will be generated.

Entrants do not need to watch the Facebook Live draw or be present to win.

  1. Winner Notification and Announcement

The winning entry numbers and the names of the winners will be announced during the Facebook Live draw on Friday, 23 October 2026.

The results will also be published on the official Art Metal Coatings Facebook and Instagram pages and will remain published for at least seven days.

Each winner will be contacted privately through the Facebook or Instagram account used to submit their entry. Winners must respond and claim their prize within 14 days of being notified.

Art Metal Coatings will only contact winners through its official Facebook or Instagram accounts. Art Metal Coatings will never ask a winner to pay a fee or provide bank or credit-card details to claim their prize.

  1. Unclaimed or Invalid Prizes

If a selected winner:

  • Cannot be contacted;
  • Does not claim their prize within 14 days;
  • Is found to be ineligible;
  • Submitted an invalid or unverifiable entry; or
  • Otherwise failed to comply with these Terms and Conditions,

the winner will forfeit the prize and Art Metal Coatings may conduct a redraw using the remaining valid entry numbers.

Details of any redraw will be published on the official Art Metal Coatings Facebook and Instagram pages. Any replacement winner will be contacted privately and publicly announced.
